What is frsutrating is in many parts of the world there has been a decline in the quality of maternal/child services. 20 years ago in Mongolia my sister-in-law, in a high risk pregancy gave birth to a healthy girl. 20 years later, despite the MDG's, in a lower risk pregnancy, in the same hospital, she was provided terrible service. Despite all the technology she saw scattered around the room none of it was successfully applied to her and disinterested physicians blamed her for her child's tragic complications. Take a look at the link below (from the Global Health Council) to learn more about the need to refocus our energy on quality and systemic support. I appreciate the efforts you and your organization have been making in this direction Will:

In many places in other African countries and across the globe the story is the same. It takes individuals like you Willo to create that change. Well done and all the best to your Bro and Sis in Law
